Kindle for Mac Version 1.20.2
Hello All,
I just noticed that the Kindle for Mac has a new version, 1.20.2, released on June 26th. I am curious if anyone has noticed any issues with this update in terms of working with various tools such as Calibre, etc.

I am curious how you are seeing this update. When I use the download link (https://www.amazon.com/kindlemacdownload) I get version 1.20 build 47032, not version 1.20.2.

I get it from App Store as well, and am interested to learn if Alf works with new version before updating.

I got 1.20.2 via the Apple App Store too. Interestingly, I was never asked to install/update to 1.20.0 or 1.20.1. The Apple App Store had not pushed me a Kindle update since 2015. Not sure why, but I suspect that is Amazon not pushing them to the Apple App Store for all customers. BTW, sorry but no clue if it works with Alf as I quit deDRMing a few years ago. As a matter of fact, I had forgotten that the Kindle app was installed on my MBP until I got the update notice.

I just booted into my iMac Sierra clone in an external drive and installed the mac app store kindle update. Then I downloaded a newly purchased kindle book. In My Kindle Content, the book appears in several parts. Not compatible with calibre.

I will not be updating my old kindle app store version, which still does the job perfectly well with less Amazonian control.

That'll be the FKX format introduced with Kindle for Mac 1.19. There are work-arounds, but if what you've currently got works, there's no point in updating.
