Another newbie to the forum here - I'm a complete newbie also to the world of ebooks and readers.

I had a browse through the forum before deciding to splash out on a Sony reader from Waterstones a couple of days ago, which should be arriving soon

The forum looks great, very helpful. I suspect I will need to do quite a bit of reading here to find out all about formats, ebook sources etc.

I love reading but nothing very highbrow. I am looking forward to catching up on some classics fiction though, Dickens & the like.

Hi winspiration and welcome to the Forum. Be sure and let us know how you like your Sony when it arrives. I got one back in January and like it a lot.

And, if you like low brow books, you've got lots of friendly company here.

Well, my reader arrived today, yay!

A huge thank you to Leaping Gnome for his help - I now have a voucher credit for the Sony ebook store & have already downloaded some books from there (Fractured by Karin Slaughter, The Good Guy by Dean Koontz & The Bone Garden by Tess Gerritsen).

I had to uninstall the version of the library that came with my reader & download it from the Sony book store, to gain access (the version that came with my reader would only take me to Waterstones).

I've also downloaded some books from MobileRead too, so looking forward to a good read later.
