Simple Question
I almost feel dumb asking this but:
I'm using an iPad with the new Calibre 3.0.0 Content Server. I got that connected up and was testing different things and downloaded a couple of books and one cbr file. I would like to delete the downloaded files and don't see how is done. Can someone help me see what is probably pretty obvious? The CBR file is taking up a bunch of space I would like to reclaim. Thanks in advance |

If you mean you opened the file for reading using the "Read book" button then you can delete it by opening it again, accessing the controls (tap the upper quarter of the screen) and choosing delete book.
If you mean you used the "Download book" button then Safari will have downloaded it as a faile somewhere, simply delete it from there. |

On iOS devices you normally delete by a left swipe on the file name in the app (which app are you using). If it is not done that way there should be an obvious delete option on one of the app menus.

I probably would have thought of that right away except that I haven't been able to see files on my ipad in Windows Explorer for some time now. That, however, is nothing to do with you.
Thanks for the suggestion. While I'm at it thanks for Calibre too. Best app on my PC and certainly the most used. |

That would be the standard solution or some way to select the book and get a delete button or link. At least that's how iBooks handles it and other readers I have had (Nook HD+) have handled it. That will limit the usefulness of the Content Server on ipad for me. It's easy enough to load and unload to iBooks through iCloud I suppose but I would like to get the 200mb CBR file off my ipad at some point. Last edited by Eschaton; 06-17-2017 at 03:34 PM. |
