Overdrive and Adobe for my Kobo
I made a post a few weeks ago (don't know where) and forgot that Kindle cannot read library books in Canada - the reason I forgot is because all my own books have become interchangeable on my computer between my kobo mini and Kindle through the use of Calibre.

When I use overdrive, and I download the epub, it will not open on Adobe, even though I ensured the correct email address is linked to Adobe Editions. I keep getting errors and I dont understand why.

Can anyone help? I do not like reading books on my tablet PC.

What errors are you getting? What version of Adobe Digital Editions are you running?

ADE 1.7.2 stopped working with OverDrive a while back forcing people to upgrade to 2.0.1 at minimum to be able to download from them.

Error activation ! And another error I've forgotten . I've been using the newest or newer one, 4.5 or 4.8 or something. I only use the old version to take off my old Kobo books

I had issues with the ADE 4.x version I tried. I did find success with a 3.x version.

Around here, everyone seems to recommend ADE 2.0.1.

That's because any version past 2.0.1 can give you ePub you might not be able to do anything with.

Ok thank you. I forget which old one I use typically.. it's rather old and it wouldn't work either. I'll try that one you suggested and see. I'm worried it has to do with my login but I ensured it's the same Adobe log in on overdrive so I'm not sure what's going on
