Re-jailbreaking PW3 on 5.8.9?

First of all, I know this has been asked many times in a few different ways, but I've searched through all these threads and had no definite answer.
So here's my case:
1. When I first realized my kindle wasn't opening KUAL I was on the middle of a 5-day road trip with no internet signal, so I couldn't get instructions properly;
2. Since I didn't know it was just a matter of reinstalling the files (actually I kinda knew, but without internet I wasn't able to get the step-by-step instructions to do so), I tried full reset before finding out the ".bin disappearing" issue wasn't related to a corrupt file I had downloaded or anything like that;
3. So here's the question I couldn't find the answer for: considering my PW3 was jailbroken before, but I did a full reset after the update, is there any chance I can re-jailbreak it, without having the backup for the KUAL/MrPI/etc files and folders?

Did you do a factory restore and is it now on 5.8.9?
Had you installed the rescue pack?
The jailbreak would have survived the update but I am not sure it survived the factory restore.

Oh and you always need to reinstall MRPI and KUAL after an update.

Now you cannot jailbreak anything with firmware 5.8.9.

There is also no time line for when a jailbreak might be available as there is no one here right now with the knowledge needed to find the key.

3) The long answer, quoted from Step #2 of the directions, which you did read, didn't you?

This is the ONLY TIME you should ever use the Reset menu entry in the lifetime of the device because it wipes out the jail break survival code that is about to be added in step 6 below.
NEVER AGAIN USE THE "Reset" MENU ENTRY. Never, ever, unless you intended to wipe out the jailbreak survival code. Which you really, really, need.

3) TL;DR: No
You are now S.O.L.

Except:
If you rebooted (re-started, not reset) the Kindle AFTER installing the Amazon update and BEFORE pressing the "Never Touch This Button", button but did not mention it above.

If you did, then the device is still jail broken, you would have seen the: **Bridge+** message when it was first rebooted.

But:
You are posting in the wrong forum.
Try the correct forum and correct thread, somebody over there will help you.
(Some of the mod's here do not like to read: "jail break" in the main forum. )

Well, it looks like I have no other options now but waiting. All those 2-pages-in-1 scanned PDFs I have laying here will be read on my computer screen, then

Seeing as you want to read pdfs, might I recommend a cheap tablet instead of an eink.

@bemfica: If you can do electronic surgeries well, then go for a serial jb.There are pretty lot of instructions for it.
