What is UUID?

Looking at the books on my are Kobo and they listed as being in UUID....what is this?

It means their internal ids matched the internal ids of a book in calibre, which is a stronger match than just title or author. IIRC that only shown up if you are running in debug mode.

Yeah, I am running it in debug mode because it keeps crashing while I am trying to download the books. It seems that Calibre crashes when it gets to downloading book 100. have an empty KOBO that I am trying to fill so I don't have to do this mass download again.

Ah, thanks for letting me know about the code. This bit of information tells me why books haven't shown up in the past. Side effect of having different libraries

Also, I was right. I had been downloading them in batches of 75 with no problem, but the moment I attempted 100, Calibre crashed.

Maye some info about plugins / versions etc could help. I've loaded over 300 at a time with no issues.

it's odd, I had been downloading the books with no problems, so I assume the metadata was being downloaded as well, but when I reconnected after the last crash the library was unable to match 160 books, which was a lot more than what got downloaded right before crashing. Instead of matching the books to the library, I just delete them and start over. which is why this little project is taking so long. I removed the extra plugins. I am using a different Calibre than my normal one. I have a calibre on a different user id on my computer that is set up specifically to load books on my KOBO, while my other user ID is for my Kindles. So it's not a hardship to dump the extra plugins since all the work done on the books takes place elsewhere.

I removed the extra plugins, I think it was "unplugged" since it was the most recently added, I suspect it may have told Calibre my device wasn't plugged in. Anyhow, no more crashes!
