Collection naming

I have Calibre shelves/collections working on my Kobo Aura One. But the name of the collection is the collection name (i.e. The Dark Tower). I want it to show: King, Stephen - The Dark Tower. I've tried everything suggested on this forum and wiki, but can't get it to work. Will I have to name the series King, Stephen - The Dark Tower? I'd like a simpler way if there is one.

Add custem column.

Lookup name: name
Column name: Name
Column type: Column built from other columns
Template: {author_sort}{series:| - |}

Add the column to the driver "#name"

Edit: I Don't know if this is what you want, because if there is no series it will show only the author.
I will try to find a better solution.

Thanks, I follow everything except not sure what you mean about Add the column to the driver "#name"?

Even without Add the column to the driver, this works exactly like I wanted it to. Thanks so much! MobileRead comes through again!

There are two drivers KoboTouch and KoboTouchExtened, add it to the one you are using.
In the driver add the column name in Collection Column, if you are using more than one column add
", " between them "column_a, column_b".
