KV font sizes

Hello,
my Kindle Voyage comes with a limited selection of font sizes. Some are way too tiny, and some way too large. I would like to change the font sizes available.
Is it possible to adjust the font sizes on the kindle voyage.
I have jailbroken and installed Kual and Helper.

Usually, size 4 is 17pt and size 5 is 19pt.
18pt is the perfect size for me but it's impossible to get it with the Kindle settings.

That is why I convert every file I get :
1. Edit the azw3 file with Calibre.
2. Open the file with style definitions: either 0001.css or 0002.css
3. Identify the "main" style. Often its name is "calibre". To identify the main style, open any file named part000x.html, you'll see a line like: <body class="calibre">. It means that the main style is "calibre".
4. Add 6% to the font-size. I suggest you choose 1.45 for the the line-height.

Typically, my definition is:

.calibre {
display: block;
font-size: 1.06em;
line-height: 1.45;
padding-left: 0;
padding-right: 0;
margin: 0 5pt
}

5. Close, save, and load the file to your Kindle.

In your Kindle, in the font settings, choose Size 4 and the tightest line spacing. You'll get 22 lines per page.

If you embed the font ChareInk, you'll get even more lines per page and maybe more words per line.

Maybe but I don't want more lines per page. Bookerly and 22 lines/page is perfect for my eyes and speed reading.

Awesome.
But does not work with KFX files, I think.

A different file: CONTENT_FONT_RAMP
I couldn't find any details on its content format, try that described for: FONT_RAMP

Does not require a jailbreak.
Put on highest visible level of USB storage (top level, NEXT TO /documents).

Unfortunately CONTENT_FONT_RAMP is disabled in the firmware and so far no one has come up with a patch to enable it. See posts 38-45 in this thread.

Have you checked 5.8.8 ?
That post is from last January and about 5.8.7

The simple way to check, is to just try it.
If it is still disabled, it will do nothing.

I tried it on my Voyage running 5.8.8, and unfortunately, it doesn't work.

Yes. I have tried it in 5.8.8 and it doesn't work. I have also checked the jar file and the code there is unchanged.

Thanks for the update and the effort taken to make the checks.

Perhaps you would like to update that post in the other forum that you pointed to, it only mentions 5.8.7

This flag (and the one that has Active Documents disabled on some devices) seem like good targets for JBPatch.
That is usable by non-technical users if they follow the directions.

But I haven't been able to interest anyone with the needed skill set to get JBPatch working on the newer firmwares.
With the approach of spring and summer school breaks, maybe we will pick up a few bored university students to help out around here. It has happened before.
