Hide Cloud Books?

In all the OS up to 3.19 we had Library Settings, an option within that section was to hide Cloud books. Since 4.2 the Library Settings has been replaced with a Download section and that option has been removed. It's something I used all the time as I don't read the downloaded Kobo books, I sideloaded through Calibre.

Does anyone know if there's a patch I can install or any other way, short of going back to 3.19, where I can hide all cloud books?

Does the 'Show:' drop-down (top left) on the Book List pages help? There are 2 options 'Imported' and 'Downloaded' which may restrict what you're seeing to something more acceptable.

I don't use Wi-Fi at all so I can't really test cloud-type issues.

There is a Show: option of Imported so that you'll only see the books that are sideloaded on the reader and not the cloud stuff in Library view. You'll still see cloud books when doing a search and viewing the results though (at least I haven't found a way to hide them).

Another option is just to delete them from your library entirely (long-press > remove > remove from my books). You can always restore them from the archive on the website if you ever need them again. The advantage of this is that the deleted books don't show up in search results. I've been doing that for a long time with the books I buy from Kobo and sideload.

Yes thank you, that does work. I think seeing all the Cloud Books blinded me to looking for a solution, I'm so used to keeping the option ticked. The one Kobo took away.

I must admit I hadn't considered doing that but it's an option if Kobo won't let me hide them.

Or Settings > Manage Downloads > Download Kobo books "Remove all" if you want to get rid of the lot quickly.

If there aren't any downloaded books, I think the options gets disabled.

I have no downloaded books and the options within the Books tab are exactly the same. I use that option to quickly wipe any that may get downloaded in a sync.
