Triple Peaks by British author John Glasby (ISFDB, Wikipedia, SFE) is his standalone western historical action adventure novel, this installment pitting a resourceful stealth-outlaw who moved into an area where his reputation was unknown in order to take advantage of the townspeople, alongside other like-minded bandits, against the local lawyer who suspects they're up to no good and summons an old friend to help him sort out the matter, free for a limited time courtesy of publisher Endeavour Press' Pioneering imprint.

This was originally published in 1966 by John Spencer's Badger Books imprint using the title High Vengeance and the pseudonym Chuck Adams, and was later reprinted by F. A. Thorpe using the pseudonym Glen Norten as part of their Linford Western Library line.

It’s all or nothing…

Triple Peaks was a quiet, frontier town where Sherrif Jessup had little to do.

That is until the day Patch Eye Turrell rides into town.

Discovering a place where his reputation as a murderous bandit is not known, he recruits a notorious posse of like-minded outlaws from the surrounding valley and together, they plot to take down the town.

After several disturbances, and despite Sheriff Jessup’s unwillingness to act, Triple Peaks lawyer Wayne Thorpe suspects something’s up and calls on his friend and ally Garth Martinue to help rid the townsfolk of the new menace in their midst.

Arousing the suspicions of the people of Triple Peaks and their Sheriff, Garth has a difficult task ahead of him,.

Quick with his mind and even quicker with a gun, can he succeed in bring peace back to the valley?
