my kindle doesn't show proper file name in case of pdfs
Hello everyone.
I noticed that names of pdf-books uploaded to my kindle are displayed as "title - author" and the author appears again in the author field. Mobi books are displayed properly. The same thing happens to the books sent to the amazon cloud. Also all the ":" in the titles are changed into "_". I know you can't save a file with ":" in the filename but why can't it be in the title on kindle? Can anyone be of assisstance? I would appreciate if someone could post some links to the similar threads or tutorials. thanks in advance |

Because the kindle doesn;t read metadata from inside PDF files, only from the filename. Why that is, you'd have to ask Amazon.
