epub>docx conversion added italics

I'm converting a lot of epubs to docx and all in all it's been great, but I just noticed that a paragraph with a few words italicized had the whole paragraph italicized. (screenshots, from the .docx in LibreOffice and the .epub from the Code view in Sigil respectively.)

As you can see the italics in the following paragraph are correct and after a quick glance through the manuscript (79K words) the italics seem to be okay.

This happened near the end of the manuscript.

Is there anything I can do to avoid this or will this just happen once in a while? Thanks.

Just found another one. Seems like it wants to make the whole paragraph italics for some reason. (additional screenshots)

An hour or two later. I went through the whole file and several small paragraphs were turned into all italics. And now I just ran the same file (epub>docx) and some of the small paragraphs (that were previously all italics) were correct and others were turned into all italics.
