a pagination after conversion, gaps between paragraphs

Hi.

I think these big numbers - this is a pagination after conversion. Is there a possibility to clear it?
And to delete gaps between paragraphs. Thx!

Maybe head back to the store that sold you a copy of The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and get one you don't have to convert to epub?

Most of the eBook versions of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy I've seen are as poorly formatted as the screen grabs. No indents and paragraph spaces makes for a very poor reading experience. The only thing I've not seen is the chapter headers not at the start of a new screen/page.

I have the Amazon Kindle version, and it's fine (although the ornamented scene breaks are removed), as are both the EPUB versions available from Overdrive (ID 212256 and 60044). You can verify the EPUB by using the "read a sample", which converts the EPUB on the fly to a browser-based reader.

The only ones I've seen that are a problem are scans.
