Recent e-book readers akin to the 6" Onyx Boox C67ML Carta?
I broke my small Onyx Boox C67ML Carta 6" e-book reader. I am looking for one similar to it. I really liked that the Boox was "pre-jailbroken"—in other words, I wasn't locked into some Kindle or Barnes & Noble store, and I could easily install other apps. I also liked its capacitive e-ink touch screen.
What are some new e-book readers similar to the Onyx Boox C67ML that are <$150? Also, I don't care about if it has WiFi or headphone jack, nor do I care if it has a front-light. I'm just looking for something cheap, simple, and reliable. thanks Last edited by Geremia; 01-14-2017 at 10:43 PM. |

You can get a boyue on banggood.com for $150 incl. a case and shippin. They sell onyx boox there too. But boyue are cheaper and are very good.

You have a few choices. You can still get the Boyue T62+. It's very similar to your Onyx C67ML Carta. The main differences: better battery life and a bigger partition for apps you install (1 GB as opposed to the 339MB of the C67).
You could look into the Onyx C67ML Carta 2. It's practically identical to the Carta, except for a sharper screen (300 dpi as opposed to 212 dpi). There is also the Boyue T63. A 300 dpi screen, a 1GB user app partition, and good battery life. All are 6 inch screens; all should be around your $150 budget. Any one of them should work well for you. |

I have a Boyue T62 (pearl screen). It's very stable and flexible. The touch-screen is a bit insensitive, but I don't care. It doesn't have googleplay. I updated it to the latest FW it runs well. It changed its A2 mode to allow the user to control it.
I have an Onyx T68. The T68 is flaky and unstable compared to the Boyue. But I don't care because I bought it for different reasons. The Boyue is a great little ereader. I think you will be happy with either a Boyue of a new Onyx. I suspect the Onyx's software has got better. Look on banggood for the two brands and read the reviews on here. |

The 1448x1072 (300 dpi) BOOX Poke3 seems like a good upgrade to my Carta 2 from 2017. Anyone have this? Where can I find it in the U.S.?
