Setting up development environment

I tried to follow the instructions on http://openinkpot.org/wiki/BuildInstructions and bootstrap a deveopment environment. I have debian unstable on my computer and I followed the instructions but got: Code: Hit http://openinkpot.org clydesdale/core Sources Hit http://openinkpot.org clydesdale/gui Sources Hit http://openinkpot.org clydesdale/security Sources Hit http://openinkpot.org clydesdale/debug Sources Fetched 1B in 1s (1B/s) Reading package lists... Done === dev_install === Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree... Done Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: armel-cross-toolchain: Depends: gcc-4.1-arm-linux-gnueabi (= 4.1.2-2) but it is not going to be installed . . . |

Try the pre-created image on the same page instead as a workaround.

You can use mibbit.com if you don't want to bother with installing clients. There there is ChatZilla and Opera's built-in client.

I actually managed to install bitchx on my stable debain and are just installing something else on unstable since bitchx is removed from unstable. I have also managed to build MadShelf and running it locally. And I am planning to write a libextract module for MobiPocket files. |

I do not think D-pad navigation is implemented but I might be wrong (I skimmed the code).

I know that the older version of Madshelf re-maps "0"-"6" and "9" to several of the keys - including some of the d-pad's to a Jinke V3 work-a-like, but another version is supposed to exist which actually treats the d-pad as a d-pad and works with it. Derek

You are right. The current version has D-pad navigation. I just tested it under X.
