Personally, I would ABSOLUTELY LOVE to buy a model that has got the following specs:

9.7" Screen Size

1. E Ink Carta or E-Ink Regal or better
2. Faster Processor IMX.7 dual core processor.
3. A screen Resolution of 1080 x 1430 PPI 300
4. Front Light
5. Stylus
6. Running Android 6/7?

it is not a real product, just a mockup. As far as i know, Boyue actually did not start the project at all. Once those screens become available for mass production, Onyx also thinks about to develop a device in this size.

I don't think a 9.7 screen with 1080x1430 pixels would be 300 PPI.

Onyx is offering so many different 9.6" but just one 13.3".
The Max Dual Touch will be equipped with capacitive touch too. AFAIK, this version is expected to be available in summer of this year - I guess probably to the same time as Netronix device finally becomes ripe for real MP ;-). New Max should be also equipped with HDMI port to allow to use it as a second monitor. There are not much details leaked about other technical specs, though.
Additionally Onyx eventually planes to migrate all its Android devices to 4.4 in March.

Sounds like hot summer with new devices from Onyx, Dasung, Remarkable, Boyue, ZingJing, Sony and perhaps PocketBook will raise again from war ashes.

That's a good news.
About what OP asked I didn't think Onyx would release an improved 9.6" so soon. It has been less than a year since they released it.
And isn't it up for EInk the company to manufacture large Carta panels? I guess that's where the bottleneck, both technical and economic, lies.
