I know this has been asked but I can't locate the thread

Where do I change the setting that won't have calibre connect to my device and try to read the books on it when I first get into the program. Is there an option that will let me do this manually at a later time?

Thanks for the help and patients, because I know this has been answered before.

bulldogmo - I do it by checking boxes in Preferences->Ignored devices

There's also this optional plugin ==>> Unplugged.
