Need help importing existing settings into calibre portable

Hi,

please excuse any language mistakes but neither English not the "computer speak" is my first language

I have a new computer, as the old one is slowly dying on me. to manage my Calibre libraries better I have decided it is the best moment to create a portable version of the Calibre library - this way I can take it with me everywhere, I can use the same library on different devices and I will not have copy of the copy of the copy of the calibre Library that is no longer even properly updated...

However I have come across many issues, most of which I have resolved with the help of other threads, nonetheless, one is still remaining, namely how to import the existing settings I have on my old computer to my new portable version?

As this is a portable version I cannot simply import all calibre data into the new portable calibre which I have done many times, when moving the library before, as it shows ERROR: cannot import/export as this is a portable version of calibre.

Please kindly explain plainly how to do this, if it is possible of course, as it was a very slow and painful process for me to get to the current version of my calibre settings [especially after i have accidentally deleted over 1/3 of my library, never to see them again ].

If any technical information is necessary, please let me know how to get it, as I will probably not know what you need
