Libronix Ebooks

I have A BIG library of Libronix books that are a part of my Bible study software program -- Logos. I am seriously considering (like today) the purchase of an ebook reader. Does anyone know if there is a convenient way to covert libronix files to the Sony or Kindle readers?

I guess I could open the book in Logos, copy & paste to Word, save as a .doc then convert ... MAYBE, but I was hoping for something a little more straight forward.

Thanks

Libronix uses DRM I believe and cannot be converted easily.

The file extension is .lbxlls I've never heard of that file type except with them.

I'm pretty sure they have set their books up to be almost exclusively used in Logos. Most of the time that's fine because I like the ability to link within my library, but there are some books I'd just like to read without having to boot up a computer, etc. so I thought I'd see if there were any quick and easy options (not likely, I'm afraid).

Libronix Method

I also have The Logos Bible Study software and have actually talked to the people at Logos. They told me the copy and paste method is the only way to do it. I also found that a couple of chapters at a time is best, tedious I know but you only have to convert the book once. Hope that Helps.

Has anyone done this on their Kindle? Is there no faster way to copy the books than slowly scrolling down through them? Logos really should put their stuff on Kindle, if possible.

I wish Logos would open up their books for all ereaders, but they seem to be committed to keeping them locked to their Libronix computer software. Since you seem to have it you know how powerfully integrated it all is, but there are many times I'd like to just plop down on the sofa and read without having to boot up my computer and load the software.

Maybe someday . . .

The normal Mac OS X print dialog give you a PDF option. The created PDF is not just a rasterized image but contains the original text as well.
