Question Booting from a USB pendrive - it is possible?

PS: The i.MX6 requires a special format - Buildroot(.org) will build it for you.

Easier to implement -
The Kindles will network boot and can mount the file system exported by NFS.
Can this be a starting point?

Looks like a good place to start.
Just keep notes when you find things that are different about the Kindle.

Also: Keep in mind of those two "usb boot" contacts on the motherboard that I never had time to investigate.
You might have to use those to get the Kindle into USB boot mode.

This is unknown territory - enjoy.

Edit:
One thing I do see - you will need to supply the load addresses for the Kindle.
Those can be found in any of the very many copies of the Kindle's boot output attached to posts here (probably the best thread - the one with 'fastboot' in its title).
