Aura One size?

Looking at the specs, it looks like the Aura One is physically the same size as an iPad Mini 4. Is that about accurate? How is the Aura One for portability?

I've seen some threads about problems with the Aura One, what sort of things are people actually considering deal-breakers or "I wish I bought a Kindle" issues?

Yes, the screen size of the A1 is the same (or similar enough) to the iPad Mini screen. As for portability, it depends if your bag is able to hold an A1 without it getting squashed, bumped, twisted, or bent.

The 2 biggest complaints are the "natural light" colouring isn't as even as it should be and some people still having battery drain issues. The normal white light is about as even as it gets IMO, but the natural light still needs work and can be blotchy. If the natural light is your decider it might be a deal breaker. A firmware update seems to have solved battery drain issues for most people, so in theory that's not a big issue anymore.
There may be some problems with the official sleep cover either not properly putting it to sleep and/or turning pages when the cover is closed before it sleeps.
Touch responsiveness is a little slow (primarily in menus), possibly due to the larger screen size requiring more processing to update it.

Really depends on your personal use whether any of these things will bother you. For me the bigger screen size has trumped the rest. I find it hard to even go back to the H2O.

The size of the Aura One is fantastic. I've been able to read one column pdfs in portrait (with a little squinting, I'll admit). When using it in a dark room, the viewport just fills my entire line of sight, something that the H2O didn't. It's very immersive.

Are you talking about size, weight, breakability, or something else? You can find the dimensions in the tech specs.

The iPad Mini weighs 304 grams, the KA1 230 grams. Add to that, of course, the weight of a good case. Even in a case, an eink reader is more fragile than an iPad, so some care is required.

Yes. Tech specs can give you technical details, but how it feels to people isn't in there yet.

I was uneasy about its size, moving from Aura HD - sometimes over my time with Aura HD I found it bit unwieldy. As it stands right now, Aura One is at the border of "still can fit into a pocket of my jacket". I'm still getting used to it; I can hold it comfortably with a single hand, but flipping pages without using second hand is a bit of a challenge. Not impossible, and not that inconvenient, just a bit tricky (move thumb up, tap the screen).

Everything will probably change once I get a cover and the overall contraption gets even heavier...
