Unable to Scan
![]() With the last 2 versions of the software I am unable to sync my books between Calibre and Calibre Companion on my Samsung 7" android tablet. My database has 5066 books in it, but this has not caused me any issue in the past, even when I originally had over 8,000 books. Everytime I try to sync I get the following error: Device closed the network connection Traceback (most recent call last): File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\device.py", line 88, in run File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\device.py", line 587, in _upload_books File "site-packages\calibre\devices\smart_device_app\driver.p y", line 51, in _synchronizer File "site-packages\calibre\devices\smart_device_app\driver.p y", line 1454, in upload_books File "site-packages\calibre\devices\smart_device_app\driver.p y", line 677, in _put_file File "site-packages\calibre\devices\smart_device_app\driver.p y", line 51, in _synchronizer File "site-packages\calibre\devices\smart_device_app\driver.p y", line 615, in _call_client File "site-packages\calibre\devices\smart_device_app\driver.p y", line 651, in _receive_from_client ControlError: Device closed the network connection I placed a bug, but it was closed and I was told to enter my issue here for help. I even took and copied 200 books to another database and they will not sync either. Can anyone provide me some answers of things I can start to look at. I factory reset the tablet, still did not help. I need to get my books back on the tablet. This is my main relief throughout the day, and when you are like me and you read 8-12 books a week. I need to get this working again. Again thank you for any help you can provide me. ![]() |

on another note. Since my Database is on my OneDrive. I have even installed the application on another laptop and it is also experiencing the exact same error.

There are several reasons this can happen, usually related to SD cards on the device. The problems can be caused by numbers of books, android upgrades, or changes to the SD card, amongst other things.
Please send us debug logs. Instructions are in this FAQ. Please erase the multipie.co.uk address when you send the CC debug log. Note that I am traveling and won't be able to answer as quickly as normal. |
