Calibre Content Server / Bookari / Multiple routers
Hi.
I've just bought an iPad Pro, and I'm trying to use Bookari (formerly Mantano) to connect to my Calibre Content Server. When I run the Content Server, I can access it through a browser on the same computer running Calibre, but I cannot get my iPad Pro to connect to it. I know you have to be on the same network, but my desktop is wired into a Comcast router which has two separate networks -- a 2.4 and a 5.0. To further complicate the matter, that router also connects to an Apple Airport, which sends out its own network! I've tried connecting the iPad Pro to all three networks, to no avail. I'm using the latest versions of Bookari (Mantano), iOS, and Calibre. Any suggestions? |

Firewall ?
Are both devices WiFi? Some routers block by default. 2.4 and 5.0 are SPEEDS. The network is still the same for all on the router when you tested. What IP did you use (on the PC)? 127 is Localhost and probably not firewalled. did you remember to enter the (ASSIGNED) Port EG. 192.168.0.23:8080 |

No firewall, unless there's a secret one on my computer I don't know about. This worked before, though I can't remember if that was before or after I upgraded to Windows 10... and never on my iPad Pro, only on my old iPad Air.
2.4 and 5.0 are speeds, yes, but they're set up as distinct networks to separate out the devices that may use them. At least that's what Comcast said. I know some devices can't see the 5.0, for instance, but can see the 2.4. In any case, there's also the distinct network set up by the Apple Airport. I used the IP listed under the content pane, which is 10.0.0.212:8080. |

Do you have another PC that you can use to connect to the desktop running calibre? Can you ping or otherwise detect the iPad from the desktop? |
