Kobo Aura HD dropped damaged screen

Well I just dropped my Kobo Aura HD on the kitchen floor and now the screen is messed up.

I looked on eBay for replacement screens but I didn't see anything.

Any suggestions? Is it worth fixing? Or should I just sell it for parts to someone else that needs it?

Not worth fixing. Best get an H2O or an Aura One to replace it.

Was your Aura HD in a case?

No case of course.
It doesn't look like the traditional broken screen.
Just a wide horizontal band that stays blank. And a few thin horizontal blank lines.
I'll check the cable before I trash it.

Replacement screens are available at Aliexpress - mislabeled as LCD screens - and there's a thread here that discusses buying and replacing a H2O screen from them.

But it's also worthwhile to first post a pic here (within mobileread dimensions or as an attachment) to get others here to verify that it is a breakage. It does sound like it though.

I feel your pain. Dropped my Aura HD on a set of stairs and watched it go bounce, bounce, bounce, bounce. Thankfully my H2O is an awesome replacement.
