Question conversion of epub for Calibre library

I am trying to use the directions below, on an ebook I purchased from Kobo. The file was successfully turned into an EPUB, but when trying to convert it/import it into my Calibre library, I get the DRM locked message. I tried using the OBOK plug-in but it still shows the DRM locked message. Can anyone please help me with this?

Here are the instructions I was using:

It's quite easy if you use a couple of calibre plugins to remove the drm first. You could check apprenticealf blog (https://apprenticealf.wordpress.com) for a long explanation. But to make a long story short, for the kobo, you have to follow this pattern :

1. got a adobe ID and install adobe digital edition on your mac
2. authorize the kobo to use adobe DRM (run adobe digital edition, plug the kobo, connect to the mac, right clic on the device inside ADE and "authorize")
3. go to your online kobo account, and download the free epub or the adobe drm epub (you'll get an ascm file)
4. open and download it with ADE, select it and show the file in the Finder
5. import the file in calibre where you have previously install the apprenticealf DeDrm plugins
6. you'll get a drm-free epub which continue to be considered by ADE as the one you bought (because, in fact, this is the case).

I'd suggest moving this discussion away from Mobileread. The moderators here will tolerate some limited discussion of DRM removal but I suspect your message is well past that tolerance. Two items that comes to mind are that the original file in ADE's My Digital Editions folder will still be DRMed, the copy that is created in your Calibre library is the one that will have the DRM removed during the import process. The other is that the OBOK plugin will only work on books downloaded directly from Kobo either using the Kobo Desktop application or the ereader's WiFi sync.
