Unhappy ISBNs Gone Wild!!!!!!

I have a library with 169 out of 2158 books with the same ISBN (1857037812). I don't know how this happened. I believe these were books without ISBNs earlier and somehow either I or binary magic messed them up. All the other books have correct ISBNs, so I assume I somehow got the ones with missing ISBNs filled with this same ISBN somehow.

When I do a search #isbn:=1857037812 they all show up, but when I go edit metadata individually, the identifier box doesn't have the isbn in it, if there are other identifiers like amazon or google they appear, if there aren't any others than it's just blank? So I don't see anything to delete.

Any ideas what could cause this?
Any ideas how to fix it?

I would Run Library Maintenance: Check Library any time that results do not agree with what you find

BTW What does the Quality Check PI find?
(Quality Check PI) Check Metadata: Find Duplicate ISBN

I ran it yesterday and again today.

"Found no errors in your Calibre library database. Do you want to check if the files in your library match the information in the database?" YES

"The files in your library match the information in the database"

I installed the Quality Check Plugin and ran FInd Duplicate ISBN. It doesn't show any of the 169 books in question with ISBN (1857037812) it shows 105 other books which have correct ISBNs but are just normal duplicate entries, which I thought I would've found by now with the Find Duplicates Plugin, but I haven't ran it lately.

Thanks for the reply.

F*#)*&)*#(*# MOTHER)*(@(@)(*$@()

When I started looking into this with those duplicate ISBNs, I see that every book has the 1857037812 after the normal ISBN, so I am curious if it's just in the formatting somehow of my main list page.

Example, main list page, has Correct ISBN concatenated with Incorrect
97814133107881857037812

But Edit Individually shows this under Ids.
isbn:9781413310788, amazon:1413310788, google:xU1bAQAAQBAJ

Is it possible I somehow setup the ISBN column to show the additional 1857037812 after any ISBN or in place of a blank one?

Why yes, it is!!!
I went to Add your own columns, ISBN clicked on the I for Info and in the Template field it has {identifiers:select(isbn)}1857037812
How on earth that happened is beyond me, I had a computer crash last month, so anything is possible.

I deleted it and restarted Calibre, and voila all is well again.

Thanks for steering me in the right direction THEDUCKS.

I never would've thought I'd do something like that, and I don't know if it was me, a misguided plugin, a virus, a crashing HDD..... either way, I'm glad I can get back to the important OCD collecting and organizing that keeps me sane.
