Export ONLY ePub file?

I tried using the "Save only ePub format to disk" menu item but it saved 5 items instead of just the ePub: the ePub file, the cover graphic file, and the opd file were saved in a folder with the book title which in turn was saved in ANOTHER folder with the author's name.

How can I export JUST the file "title.epub"?

@romad - I do it this way, configure the STD preferences thus:

Name:	Clipboard01.jpg
Views:	2038
Size:	106.8 KB
ID:	151372

And then use vanilla save to disk (press the 'S' key)

Right click on EPUB in the book detail panel and choose save to disk

As BetterRed said, this happens because you have not disabled the default option of saving the OPF and cover, nor have you changed the default save-to-disk filename template that includes an author and title folder.

OK, thanks. I was under the impression that the Save to disk>Save only EPUB to disk item temporarily overwrote the defaults.

I'll copy your settings and see what happens.

That is what I did. The way the "Save only EPUB format to disk" is titled led me to believe ONLY the "title.epub" file would be saved and any other settings would be ignored. Unfortunately it didn't happen for me but as I said above it ALSO saved 2 other files and 2 folders. I'm going to experiment with the Save to disk preferences.

No, that's not what you did. Right click the EPUB entry in the Book Details panel not the Save to Disk menu.

Ah, I see. I had selected all the items in the Library panel. I wanted to do all 600 books in one action, rather than 600 single actions using the Book Details.

If you want to do bulk action, use save to disk, after setting the appropriate preferences in Preferences->Saving to disk

An other way to do this is via command line (in case you are transferring huge amounts of books more often) like:

calibredb export --all --dont-save-cover --dont-update-metadata --dont-write-opf --format epub --replace-whitespace --single-dir --template {author}-{title} --to-dir "\\ANTEC\document_server\ePub Books"

https://manual.calibre-ebook.com/gen...db.html#export
