calibre and Ubuntu
Running 2.65.1 under Ubuntu 16.04.1. Calibre uses 100% of system CPU (effectively hangs) unless I specify:
LIBOVERLAY_SCROLLBAR=0 calibre Is there a more elegant fix for this? |

Well, I suppose you could turn off overlay scrollbars in Unity...
As it is a DE component and doesn't originate in calibre, I'm not sure what else you could really do... maybe in the Ubuntu forums or bugtracker they might know why overlay scrollbrs is crashing an application. |

Sigh. There goes Canonical creating yet another pointless hack that breaks things to differentiate themselves. Let's see now, we have
- A global menu bar - A display server - A desktop environment - A package format - Overlay scrollbars At this rate, Ubuntu is going to become a whole new operating system. You can probably prevent the overlay scrollbars from causing problems by going to Preferences->Look & Feel and changing the User interface style to Calibre style |
