Question Why is my 4th gen kindle not letting me log in to amazon?

when i try, it says the account doesn't exist in its data base.

Also, if this kindle was purchased used, it might have been reported lost or stolen to Amazon. If so, they have blocked registration which would cause the message you are getting. Kindle Support
