Sideloading Question

I just purchased the thin and newest kindle (having used the b&n nook ST2) and and puzzelled. How to you side load many mobi files at the same time. I can load a single mobi but how to load a file filled cantaining many mobi files more or less simultaneous? Also, for example of a file containing many epubs mixed with mobi files - it it possible load only the mobi files and ignore all the epub files?

It sounds from early days advice, kindle is not simple - there is no generic way to side load a kindle. In addition to new one that came out a few weeks - there small light $179 version, which I just purchased, I also have a garage sale purchase an early kindle-keyboard, and have no problem, but the side loading is really is much difficult than the keyboard; I guess learning a new kindle is not simple!

I am not aware of a single device of any sort that can do that, Kindle or otherwise.

Why exactly do you want to copy an archive containing multiple books, onto your Kindle? Why don't you just use your favorite unarchive utility to extract the contents of said archive onto your Kindle?

For that matter, what motivated you to store them in an archive in the first place? I cannot think of a good reason to do so...

...

The Kindle will ignore EPUB files, but then again, a decent unarchive utility should offer you a way to filter the type of files which get extracted.

Not sure what these posts have to do with the OP, or why it was resurrected after four years, but...

Open the file, and sort by file type. Select all of the Mobi files and drag/copy them to the Kindle's documents folder.

Sideloading to all eInk Kindle's is the same. Copy the books to the Kindle's 'Documents' folder and you're done (it's the same now as on the Kindle Keyboard). I don't know how it could get any simpler. Or use Calibre to organize your books and you can send them to your Kindle with the click of a button.
