Calibre and Linux Mint 18.0

Anyone have Calibre running under the new version of Linux Mint (18.0)? I'm running the Cinnamon flavor of 17.3 and, just to be safe, am wondering if there's any incompatibility.

Just curious: why did an Admin move this thread to the Devices sub-forum? It's about Calibre on my computer's OS, not using the result of Calibre on a device.

The base forum (Calibre) is for those things that do NOT fit in a sub forum. Please take the time to review the descriptions and post in the most correct location. If you should later decide you should have posted elsewhere, Contact a forum level Mod (or a Greenie), and ask that it be MOVED. Do not start another thread, this leads to confusion , because some answers are now in the wrong place. |

So far I've done the "usual" things I do with Calibre under Mint 18.0, namely:
And everything seems to work as it did under 17.3. I say seems only because it's still relatively early days.

latepaul's reply gives me a warm fuzzy about the Calibre/Mint 18.0 combination. My biggest worry had been that there might have been some incompatibility in the installation phase. But, since he's already confirmed Calibre works for just about everything I use it for, that's been laid to rest. Thanks.

Just for a bit of closure: I did my clean install of Linux Mint 18 Cinnamon x64, re-installed Calibre, and have gone through my usual activities with it (very similar to latepaul's, above). No problems. I'm pretty sure I see a difference in how the main menu bar (with all its icons) works, though. When I connect or disconnect my Kindle, it's much slower re-painting the thing. Since everything from the kernel on up is new, though, I certainly can't point any fingers as to what might be causing it. But, I'm happy. Everything works.
