inkbook internet use

Have an inkBOOK-obsidian_2015112015-V1.1.0, android version 4.2.2

Using the stock apps Browser gives me www.google.com, but no virtual keyboard to enter search criteria or a different web address.

How would I go about doing such things with this ereader?

Also, is there an actual User Manual for this device, what it calls its User Manual is merely a duplication of the Quick Start leaflet that came with the device when I bought it - and very limited.

I would suggest pressing the URL bar at the top and see if that prompts the keyboard to pop up. I know nothing about the particular model you have, in fact I don't even own an ereader my self yet but I know my way around android. Try checking the settings for language and input, maybe install a different keyboard if you have Google play access.

Thanks for the info, I've had a number of ereaders, but know nothing about android. Maybe that's why the "user manual" is so lame, what I actually need here is an android manual.

If you tap on the URL bar, the keyboard will appear. You can type in your search question.

Change the home page. Mine is about:com.

Go to Browser, settings, and look through. I can change search page to Bing, and will be bookmarking Duck or Startpage. You can customize.

It seems to be working, but I happen to leave wifi off. It is showing the page I requested as not found since wifi is off.
