How to Select 100 Books?

What's the easiest way to select and highlight books in positions 101-200?

Click on the one at position 101. Shift-click on the one at position 200.

You could add a unique tag to the selected books, using the 'Edit metadata in bulk' option.
Then use that tag in a search expression for the virtual library.

You could use the Job Spy plugin, which can do exactly that.

You could also just add e.g. a tag to all those books (Edit metadata in bulk) and create a virtual library based on that.

Or you could use a custom column #virtuallibraries.

@Fbone - If the 'collection' is arbitrary/temporary/transient - I prefer to use a Reading List (optional PI) to a Tag and a VL. To my mind Reading Lists are inherently arbitrary and temporary, whereas Tags and VLs are prescribed and have an air of permanency.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I wish to bulk edit my entire Calibre library and need to split it up into smaller pieces. I hope to do a little each day. Goodreads from what I remember has a problem with large numbers of metadata calls.
