Calibre 2.58.0 - only install options: Change, Repair, Remove

I'm not sure what's going on for me - I just used the Calibre link to download the latest version 2.58.0, and when I go to run it I only get the options to: Change, Repair or Remove.

The first pic below is the Set up wizard version I get. Note, I get a double setup version box, but this one supersedes the first one which appears for less than a second on my screen.

The second pic shows what happens after I press 'Next'.

So, the first time through I chose 'Repair' and then continued.

The update install didn't take place so I tried to install again but keep getting this same Change, Repair, Remove box ......

I'm using Win 7 and nothing has changed between the last Calibre install update and this one ....

That indicates you are using a setup file for a version already installed.

Your ISP may have cached a old copy
You download did not complete and you ended up reusing the last version.
( always Download, then run the file which has the version number. I also keep the previous version... just in case a

happens)

Thanks for helping

Unfortunately I still can't download this new version. I've cleared the cache, deleted the file and re-downloaded it, and re-booted the pc, but after a new download I still get the double pop up box, with the second one being to repair etc.

It is NOT you that cached it

Use the Last ALTERNATE Location (it is HTTPS) on the download page

That gets around ISP caches

Try downloading from the 2nd Alternate - its https which will thwart your ISP's cache. If what you have is 64bit, then the file size should be 69,115,904, if it's not then your ISP is being too clever by half, and dishing up an earlier version.

And have a look at properties-details and see what it has as version number.

Okay, so I downloaded the update from the github site this time, and it worked - yeah!

Wow, I've never had a problem before. I'm using win32.

Has nothing to do with YOUR end. THE ISP is the bad guy, trying to save a bit or two
