this title is not currently available for purchase

Hello
I have been trying to buy https://www.amazon.com/Discrete-Time.../dp/B008VIXQSQ for sometime now, but I get an annoying message, "the Kindle Edition of this title is not currently available for purchase", in the area where buying options are actually supposed to be.
I would be very grateful should someone help me find out whether this is only my problem, or something like regional restrictions

Thanks a lot verifying it ; I wonder why it is accessible through their site even though all it does is saying that the book is not available for purchase.

Because it's geo-restricted. It will be available to buyers in one or more other parts of the world.

Thanks; so you mean it _is_ purchasable, only in select regions. Do you know of any way to find which regions it can be purchased from? Also, I would be very thankful if you can confirm that this particular address actually points to a purchasable ebook. I would be looking forwards to your response. Thanks again.

This I'm asking because, as per a previous comment, it (at least) looks not to be purchasable in the US. I can't help wondering where it can, if it is (supposedly) restricted in the country it was produced.

Appears to be available in the US from VitalSource. Perhaps Pearson and Ingram have some kind of exclusivity deal that keeps Amazon from selling it in the US.

Yeah, "International Editions" are often way cheaper than US editions of text books.

Well, if this is the case, it would be rather interesting; still , I can't wonder why the myriad other titles by Pearson provided on Ingram have not been affected by this alleged deal.

I have just google'd this: "the Kindle Edition of this title is not currently available for purchase" (surrounded by quotes); turns out this is the message that gets displayed when there is a newer edition of the Kindle ebook available (i.e, it out to basically mean: "we no longer sell this one because there is a newer edition available; go buy that." )

The title I'm talking about, namely https://www.amazon.com/Discrete-Time...Q?tag=mr060-20 , though, is already the most recent. I wonder why they think it isn't.

It can also mean "this title is not available for purchase in your location", which is the situation in this case. It's what I (in the UK) get for many books on Amazon.com that aren't available for purchase in the UK.
