Metadata not included when adding books
I had to reload all of my apps on my laptop. I believe Adobe Digital Editions is an updated version from what I had before.
When I Add Books in Calibre from the Digital Editions Library, the Metadata does not come with it. I have to manually add the Metadata afterward. am I doing something wrong? Note: When I borrow a book from the Library, the format is .ACSM. In order to Add the book to Calibre, I have to first pull it into Digital Editions to convert the format to .epub. Thanks for any help! |

An ACSM file is not a book. It's a "key" file which tells ADE to download the book.
But why are you loading library books into Calibre? |

Because I can return the book sooner to allow the next person in line to get it. I read a lot, so it's nice to have everything in Calibre where I can look at it easily.
My question was: Why doesn't the metadata come with an epub book I pull from Adobe Digital Editions. It used to do so before I reloaded Adobe Digital Editions and Calibre. Thanks BTW, thanks for the information about ACSM files! Last edited by everbos; 05-10-2016 at 02:29 PM. |

Yeah, well, "returning the book to allow the next person in line to get it, while keeping it for yourself to finish", is also known as "keeping a library book", a/k/a petty theft.
MobileRead doesn't support, condone, or offer tangential help to perpetrators of petty theft. (Continuing to solicit such help is a bannable offense, as is offering you aid, not that I want to anyway.) Have a nice day. |
