My Aura H2O is dead...

Sorry for my English.
I have a serious problem, since a few days ago my Kobo has entered into "standby" and does not leave there. I tried to reset and continues to do nothing, always on standby. I tried to drain the battery, I tried to charge it to the maximum.
The PC does not recognize it (does nothing).
It just goes on and it always does in standby mode. I'm desperate.
I put a picture of what always appears. I need your help.

The glass of the screen has been broken. Resetting the device will not help. Replacing the screen is difficult and expensive. Unfortunately, your device is dead.

If you buy another, put it in a very good case, treat it gently, and do not let it get too hot (as in a car in the sun). Good luck.

It's a broken glass substrate, nothing you or anyone can do about it.

The crack is along the left side of the book title, clearly visible.

Sell it on Ebay, maybe someone needs it for spare parts.

For PC you have to confirm the connection dialog that would show on the screen if it wasn't broken... at least for english language this button is in the center of the screen, 3cm from the bottom. On your reader that should be about near the "end of the river".

Touch might still work so if you need to copy your books off the device, experiment a little and PC connection might still be possible.

All of the books on your broken Kobo H2O bought from Kobo Store you can download for no cost from Kobo Store to your replacement Kobo that is also registered to you Kobo account.

DRM free books on your broken Kobo H2O internal memory can be transferred to a computer. Open your broken Kobo H2O and remove internal uSD card. Plug this uSD card into your computer and transfer books from uSD card to your computer. Someone has posted you tube video how to open Kobo H2O and remove uSD card.

hi, sadly it does appear to be a broken glass substrate. which is quite a common occurrence on this forum.

best wishes koboy
