flag books to be uploaded to device in future

I am looking for a way to flag books or documents in calibre so that the next time you connect your device it will allow you to upload them all to it. I find that a lot of time in doing a search or browsing through calibre I find something I want to re-read or that I haven't read and forgot about. Most of the time my device isn't around and I want to flag it so that I can upload it later.

Has anyone created a plugin for this or is there already a feature in calibre that will do it? if not where do I put in a feature request

I think the Reading List plugin can do this.
