CC V5.1.1.1 Beta 1 (1/April/2016)

Change log:

• Show "columns built from other columns" in the cloud top-level display if the new calibre plugin "Save Composite Column Values" is installed in calibre. See the FAQ for more information. Requires calibre V2.54 or later.
• Improve performance when downloading books via the cloud connection by using the information stored by the Save Composite Column Values calibre plugin. If the library contains composite columns then this change can reduce download times by several seconds per book.
• Update languages: French, Russian.
• [BUG FIX]Fix failure to download books in the cloud connection if the title contains a '#' character.
• [Technical]Reduce the size of the APK by removing parts of the Google Libraries that CC doesn't use.

Are you seeing your "columns built from other columns" in the main cloud connection list?

Is the performance if the plugin in calibre acceptable? For me it takes 3 seconds for a 2,500 book library.

Now that you have added this for custom columns generated with custom columns for cloud.
Would it be possible to save the send to device template in a hidden custom column and save the book using that when using the cloud download.

As I've told later (I hadn't checked), yes, I'm seeing it.

I've not taken the time but I think it takes more time at a library with more than 5000 books and... a lot of custom columns, and they're not simple, as I mainly use python function that I define, as I've never been good at "all a program in one line".

But my main concern, however, is that I can't activate it only for some libraries (I have different ones and I use only one for sending to calibre, so I'm going to have to activate and deactivate manually).

There's another additional question that I'm afraid it's a personal problem because of the way I handle my library. As I've told you I have quite a lot of custom columns but... useful really for the library and not its auxiliary function? Very few. Anyway, I've checked and it works quite well, with right values.

Which of them? I have one for Kobo and one for Sony, and the general is there too.

Why? It doesn't hurt anything to have the extra data.

You can do this already. Simply put the lookup name of the column into the template. You can use CC's template conditional text if you want to specify an alternate template if the column is empty.

I didn't mean for the template that changes data inside the book but for the directory and the book name etc

I'm not so sure. I've got to check the time because I think that at my main library the time is not so little.

It's an OCD problem How can you turn them off? I'm sure you've told it but I don't remember and I don't find it now.

That is what CC's file save templates do. They compute the file name to be used when saving the book.

Open the menu (the three dots one) while in in the cloud connection top-level display and tap "Choose items to display". You will get a list where you can choose what to display and their order.
