Cant send email to Kindle :-(

Hi all,

I'm desperated.....

I've tried :
to re-install calibre
open a new gmx email adresse but i keep on getting the following message from Calibre :

You need to specify the full email address as username.

It used to work like this.....

Can you please tell me which email i need to specify (kindle ? GMX ?) and where exactly in the parameters i need to do this ?

Both the send email from and username fields need to have your full *GMX* email address, like this:

athomas@gmx.com

ANd as far as I know, GMX, at least has always worked like that.

I have just found this old thread. I have a similar problem in that I cannot send Calibre email to my Kindle. The Calibre message I get is:

Looks like it's registered to 1and1.com, which is a subsidiary of United Internet (AG), who also own GMX.

My 3rd party file manager's website is hosted at 1and1. Like GMX, it has been known to disappear from some DNS servers. On one occasion it went AWOL for several days.
