How to backup library - on OSX
I am trying to back up my Calibre library on my PC laptop on my iMac. I have tried manually copying and the export function, with no success. With almost all the books I get the message "Book already exists in Calibre" (though it doesn't) and I cannot open (view) it. I have also tried deinstalling Calibre and reinstalling it to make sure it is empty, but that didn't work either. Obviously I am doing something wrong. Can someone tell me the best way to do this?

Moderator Notice @mdmorrissey - I moved your post to its own thread. The thread you posted in was about 'recovering' calibre from a dead computer. Your question is about backup. We'd prefer you create a new thread rather than posting in an existing thread - especially if its not exactly the same issue. See How do I backup calibre? I believe some OSX users use its Time Machine feature to maintain a backup of their calibre libraries. BR |
