Where do I find a comprehensive dictionary
The default dictionary in my Glo is inadequate, free dictionaries are also inadequate due to words not listed or circular descriptions for words, i.e. plebian - see pleb > pleb - see plebian etc.
Anyone know where I can BUY a comprehensive dictionary for ereaders (Glo)?. |

Plebeian and plebian are both correct according to Britannica but not according to Webster on line. I'll have to check unabridged dictionary.

![]() The Kindle has excellent free dictionaries, and you can also buy dictionaries that supposedly are quite good too (though I haven't tried any because I don't need the dictionary much to begin with. )There is a list of custom dictionaries for the Kobo in this thread, maybe one of them will satisfy you: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=232883 |

If you have read, Christopher Hitchens - Arguably Essays, without referring to a dictionary, you can apply for a honorary English doctorate
![]() I've tried Webster and it's better, so I'll stick with it. My wish is to get my hands on the Oxford Unabridged dictionary and thesaurus for eReaders. "Plant a feather and wish a chicken will grow" Many thanks for your info. Last edited by leftright; 02-27-2016 at 12:29 AM. |
