Word-to-epub text colour

I do quite a lot of editing via Word to Epub, reading on an Android tablet using Pocketbook. I have a user colour setting of green text on black background. With some books, however, despite this the text is apparently black on black. In order to get the correct colour scheme, I have to select 'Ignore formatting' in Document Properties. Having the word document font colour as either Black or Automatic makes no difference. Does anybody have any suggestions, please?

Thanks
Colin

What is 'Word to Epub' ?

Calibre provides two ways to convert DOCX files to EPUB, a) via its Conversion facility to a nominated format which can be EPUB, and b) via its Book Editor using its Import DOCX feature. Are you using either one of these, if so which one?

use the Calibre eBook editor to edit the CSS and remove all color statements from the CSS. That should solve your color problem.

Use the filter style information setting int he look and feel section of the conversion dialog to remove all colors from the document during conversion.
