Greetings,
I've looked through the forums and although there are lots of corrupted library posts none of the fixes have helped me nor do they seem to match my symptoms. My Library was reported as corrupted. The repair routine didn't work. I uninstalled Calibre, ran a registry cleaner to remove the related entries, reinstalled Calibre, created an empty folder (in My Documents, per the installation instructions) and restarted Calibre. I got the same script of "Your Library is Corrupted", "Repair it", Repair Failed". Then it shuts down. I have all my original epub files but I can't even get Calibre to start so I can re-import my books. I'm running Win 10 and have loaded the most current 64 bit version of Calibre. Am I just stupid or is there a flaw that can be fixed in Calibre? |

You can try running the restore via the command line:
Code:
calibredb --restore_database --really-do-it This will import metadata from the backup metadata.opf files. |

Happy to help.
![]() (Assuming it was the command-line restore that worked?) |

Just for pure simplicity, in "properties" (right click the icon) set the compatibility of the program to Win 7, start as admin.
Worked for me in restoring 18 libraries in Calibre on Win 10 after "corruption" message. I did, though, have to add them back using "Switch/Create Library" but it was just a matter of showing Calibre where the libraries were on the disk. |
