Convert folder of txt files into chaptered book

I have a folder containing multiple .txt files, each one being one chapter of an ebook. How do I add this to calibre so that calbire understands each file is a separate chapter, and have the resulting ebook structured accordingly, with a table of contents?

@readerboy - AFAIK it can't be done by calibre in one click, while don't you concatenate the files first — with a script, a command, a batch file, whatever.

TXT files aren't linkable.

If they were HTML, calibre would be able to import the whole set once you try adding the index file.
Importing would stick it inside a ZIP file (HTMLZ format) if I remember correctly -- then you can convert it to any other format as usual.

As BetterRed said, if you concatenate the files you can import the single TXT file and convert that, calibre includes an EPUB editor which you can use to whip the result into shape.

You could try doing it with pandoc. That definitely works, but you will need to do this per command line.
