Recommended addons

I've had my Glo HD for a few weeks now and having looked through this section of the forum find that there are a number of addons that can be applied to 'improve' (if that's the right word) the reader.

So has anyone got recommendations or 'must have' suggestions. I quite like the idea of changing the dictionary, Kobos default one is somewhat basic. Is it really worth it.

These are things that I have that are not available through the GUI/out of the box:

Side loaded fonts (although I don't use them now that I patch)

Nightmode

Full page reading via enable in config file

Patches:
-Advance font control
-Font sizes
-line spacing

And I use kepubs via Calibre

@JohnF what does 'night mode' do? And could you link it please.

Night mode lets you oerate with white text on a black background.

You might want to consider these addons as well:

Kobo Start Menu (KSM8), offers some tweaks and utilities as well as being able to launch KOReader, Coolreader, and the Vlasovsoft Launcher. (The Coolreader port is included in the Vlasovsoft Launcher, but KSM can include it as a separate menu item.)

The Vlasovsoft Launcher, includes Coolreader, File Manager, OPDS alpha, Chess, Checkers, Sokoban, Reversi, Gomoku, Takuzu, Sudoku, Dictionary, Notepad, Calculator, UsbNet, WiFi, Reboot and Power off.

KOReader, a multi-platform eReading program with an improved PDF reader that has a builtin OCR function and reflow. KOReader also includes a number of features to work with calibre and make good use of Wifi. In addition to its PDF reader it implements the Coolreader 3 Engine (cr3) for a wide number of formats including .epub, .mobi, .pdb, .fb2, and others.
