Aura H2O Move books and libraries from a microSD to the device memory

Good evening dear friends and happy new year.
I own a Kobo Aura H2O and use Calibre to manage it. I have the entire library on a micro SD (on the device: Card A), with directions, for each book, the number of pages, percentage of reading and library membership (by author). I would like to move all to the the main memory of the device but, of course, without losing all of this information. Before venturing into shares with results to be verified, I ask your help. How you do and, above all, can be done?

If I understand what you are asking, there isn't an easy way to do it. Or at least not one I could describe and guarantee would work. But, as you are using calibre, you can do most of it.

The steps are:
- Install and configure the Kobo Utilities plugin in calibre.
- Make sure all the books on the SD card are in calibre.
- Connect the device and use the utilities plugin to store the status of the books on the card.
- Eject the device and remove the SD card.
- Connect the device and send the books that were on the SD card to the devices main memory.
- Eject the device and let it process the books.
- Connect the device and use the utilities plugin to restore the status of the books to the device.

That will get the books from the card to the main memory with the reading status. And assuming the books had the correct metadata in them, then the author information will also be there.

But, I'm not sure about all the request.

I'm not sure what you mean by "with directions", and the Kobo devices do not show number of pages, and unless you mean either being able to sort by author, or have a collection for each author, I don't know what "library membership (by author)" means. This is probably a language problem as I don't think English is your usual language. You will need to explain what you mean by these points.

OK, in calibre then. And that implies all the books are there.

Are you managing the collections using calibre? If so, everything will just get recreated as you move the books.

My Kobo Utilities plugin includes a function to get the reading status from the Kobo devices and store them in the calibre library in custom columns. Then, you can restore the status to the Kobo device if you do a factory reset, or a move like you are. The plugin has a lot of other functions as well.

I probably should have said...

Before doing this, take a copy of all the files on the visible partition of the device. Then, if you make a mistake, or decide you don't like the results, you can restore these files and get back to where you started from.
