Book Arrangement Problem (both in Kindle and Calibre)

When I arrange my books by series, A Series of Unfortunate Events [1] is always separated from rest of the series. The books are under same author folder.
Only when I sort the books by the author, A Series of Unfortunate Events [1] grouped with the rest of the A Series of Unfortunate Events

I suspect any of a couple of things might have happened.
1) A trailing space in the series name
2) Series sort rules changed after book 1 was added


Simple to use Tool to fix: Manage Series Plugin
(very, very easy for sequential series with no gaps)

Select all books that belong
Launch the PI
Adjust the Series name at the top if needed/wanted
Adjust the order if needed,the final series and index will be on the right
save

The sort order for series changes depending on the language of the book. Verify that all the books have the same language setting.

Just checked title page xhtml and xml:lang="en" for all my Unfortunate Series books

Fuck my books, I manually entered the Series name, still didn't work

I tried Manage Series Plugin. Still didn't work.

I deleted the books from the library, re-added the books. still nothing

Help..

I meant the value in calibre's language column.

If you send me a copy of your metadata.db file from your library with the wrong order I might be able to determine what is happening. I will send you a PM with the email address. Note: I don't need (or want) the entire library. All I want is the metadata.db file.

I did check the meta data on Calibre and you were right. Now the series are in order. Thank you for helping me cope with my semi-compulsive behavior to have a perfect library collection.
