Bluelight filters
Just got the 3.4 ver of Moon Reader Pro & see that it now has a bluelight filter to lower the brightness level.
Checked if the subject bluelight filters came up & got no hits. However, Google Play store has many bluelight filters for the Androids & I'll be trying to find myself a preference as both Aldiko & Mantano don't seem to have a filter. For those who claim headaches from using lcd displays, perhaps using a bluelight filter will help. I do think I'm just a late comer in finding out about some things that have been around for some time. Always thought one couldn't lower the real brightness/contrast of the tablets. |

I've been trying the Blue Light Filter by Hardy Infinity lately. It really seems to help with my night-time (total darkness) reading. But I've only been using it for a few days now.
I don't get headaches or eyestrain, but when I wake up earlier than the sun and grab the tablet to try and get a few pages in, even the lowest brightness setting can be an uncomfortable shock until my eyes adjust. The filter eliminates that shock and makes things easy-peasy. But it does seem to make the text a bit more blurry the higher the opacity is set on the filter. |

I'll be trying a filter for the tablets tomorrow; do have the f.lux installed on win 10 & will have to play around to see what I would prefer. Will be trying to get a semblance of a vellum type display for the browser. Was a bit busy installing/reinstaling marshmallow onto my Nook HD+; the problem was with the gapps. Working nicely now.
I have a solid gray screen desktop for comfort instead of the fancy backgrounds some people use. But the glare from the browsers is intense! |
