Thunder by Bonnie S. Calhoun is the 1st novel in her Stone Braide Chronicles series of YA sci-fantasy adventure drama novels with mildly interesting-looking worldbuilding set in a post-apocalyptic US where radiation and tsunami have wrecked the world, and the new settlements have some sort of slavery thing going on, this installment setting up the main character's ongoing arc as she goes from being one of the hunters to becoming one of the hunted and may wind up discovering some secrets about her origins and the way the world became how it was as well, free courtesy of Christian publisher Baker's Revell imprint.

This is apparently being made free to promote the 2nd in series, Lightning, which was released earlier this year. There's also two tie-in shorts which have been free for a while.

Description
In post-apocalyptic America, Selah Chavez is crouched in long grass on a shore littered with the rusted metal remnants of a once-great city.
